15 Weeks
I'm a big fat 15 weeker now! And I feel HUGE. (I hear all of you... You're all saying "Just wait a few more months!" But look - I need you to be supportive, okay?) But what still sucks is that my pregnancy is more reflective in my hips and booty instead of my belly. I was working out at Curves today and I could see disapproving eyes saying without words something like "she's too young to be so chunky." Well, I kept thinking of funny shirts I should design. Here is the winner... I'm going on Cafe Press! Oh snap. Take that, you mean old ladies at Curves.

So, want to know what is going on inside?!? Of course, right? Well, my "heart has grown in size and is working overtime to pump all that extra blood through my body and baby. Its output has increased 20 percent from normal and, by the time I'm ready to deliver, it will be pumping 50 percent more than normal!" Crazy. Also, my "baby weighs about 2.5 ounces and is approximately 4 inches in length (crown to rump). His or her heart is growing strong and, even though it is little, it is pumping between 20 and 25 quarts of blood every 24 hours! By the time I'm ready to deliver, my baby's heart will be circulating up to 300 quarts of blood every 24 hours. Many fetuses develop their future hairline this week, although it can take quite a bit longer for others." There is a lot going on in my belly!

You are at the awkward stage! Not big enough to show the evidence, but not so skinny too! I began showing at 6-8 weeks because there was no where for the baby to go...I was an unhealthy weight pre-baby. You're not big enough to wear maternity, but too big for normal clothes? Try wearing shirts that cover the waist and use a rubberband on the button of your pants. Put one end on through the button hole and attach both ends around the button. This gives you comfort without having to buy clothes yet and no one knows! I love you bunches! I know exactly how you are feeling...it's ok....You'll get through this!!!
I can see you have a possible career in designing maternity shirts. You are only big in your own mind. I think you look positively beautiful.
