Oh Baby!

We're having a baby! I love saying this... I don't think it will ever get old to me. Well, if you are reading this post, then you are one of the few people I've said this to. (And gosh you are lucky!) Tim and I decided to do a baby blog to record some of these crazy feelings and memories of ours, especially since we are keeping all this a secret for a little while. This way we have an outlet!

It's funny, I feel like anyone can just look at me and know my secret. I've never had much of a poker face anyway, but I feel like I'm doing a terrible job hiding this. I guess I subconsciously want to tell the world about you, little one. I feel you growing inside me and it's just too amazing to be completely kept to myself.

These are the people who know about you so far, little jellybean. Your Uncle Andy was the first person to know. He was here when I did my second just-in-case is-this-for-real pregnancy test. He was patiently waiting on Tim (who was waiting on me) and he got to see your momma's big smile as I walked triumphantly out of the bathroom, waving my pee stick in the air! It took him by surprise, but he was thrilled. Your Diva and Poppa know about you too. They've been praying for you since before you were even conceived. And your Auntie Becky and Uncle Jerry know, as well. Auntie Becky is the first person to comment on this blog, even! She helped put this together for you. And she's been giving your momma all kinds of good advice, since she just had a little baby of her own.

Your Texas Grandma and Grandpoppa also know about you, jellybean. They are so excited that their baby is having a baby. (Your daddy is their youngest.) They've been eagerly awaiting you, too. And soon we'll tell your Aunties Angie and Kim and Uncles Dale and Cody and all of your cousins. They will be crazy excited.

The other people who know about you so far are our friends Jeremy and Christie and my coworker Mary. They are all very excited to know you're on your way too, baby. Jeremy and Christie can't wait for you to be able to play with their two little ones and Mary can't wait to coo at you and sing you nursery rhymes. Maybe she'll even play her accordion for you, jellybean! It's pretty sweet. I think you'll dig it.

Anyway, this blog is for you, baby. It is also for your extended family and friends to keep up with our growing family and see what is going on in your wacky parents brains. Did I mention how excited I am about you, little one?!?
